Regardless of having snow on the first day of spring, New Yorkers have spring fever – which means that by next weekend they will be asking for an outside table at restaurants, walking the long way to work, and start their community garden. But for many of us, keeping a plant alive is on par with watching the Celebrity Apprentice; we just can’t do it.Introducing EasyBloom, a gadget pledging to deliver your plants from poor conditions, and inspire a new spirit of optimism in the botanical community.

Your fire escape herb garden has been racked by its own volatile downturn, but help is on the way in the form of a USB-equipped plastic stick with powers that are nothing short of magical. Just let it sit in the pot of your sad, dying geraniums for 24 hours while it does all manner of arboreal calculations and comes up with the regimen to save your greenery from the trash can.
After 24 hours, plug the sensor into the USB port of your computer. Sensor data is uploaded to the EasyBloom website where algorithms are run that will either recommend a plant or diagnose what is wrong with an ailing plant.
